Chapter Activities

Old Pueblo Chapter, NSDAR, strives to fulfill the objectives of DAR in the areas of historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Each year, we choose service projects our chapter members can perform together or separately. We also attend patriotic events and encourage our members to perform community service.

Historic Preservation

Chapter members value living in the Tucson area with its many connections with Arizona history. We have enjoyed lectures and visits to local sites of interest in preparation for installing our first historical marker.

Old Pueblo Chapter, NSDAR, is proud to recognize excellence in education through awards and contests. Recipients include outstanding American History teachers, Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) cadets, and young essay writers. Contact us for more information.

One way that Old Pueblo Chapter, NSDAR, members honor local veterans is by greeting Honor Flights. As a sponsoring organization for Wreaths Across America, the chapter lays wreaths on veterans’ graves each December.

Sponsor a wreath and join us this December. Contact us for more information.
